COQUITLAM – The Coquitlam Foundation is looking for a new executive director following the resignation of Dale Clarke.

Clarke, who has worked with the foundation since the summer of 2011, is taking on a new challenge in the travel and hospitality industry.

“It’s been a real pleasure to work with Dale over the past four years,” says foundation chair Janet Toddington. “Her energy and dedication have been instrumental in helping the foundation achieve impressive growth during her tenure.”

Toddington says the board of directors is disappointed to be losing such a valuable member of its team, “but we congratulate Dale and wish her every success in her new position.”

For her part, Clarke says she has enjoyed working with the board and is proud of what the foundation has achieved. “We have seen a dramatic increase in donations and new funds,” she says.

“This has given us the ability to respond positively to an ever-increasing number of requests for assistance from students seeking to further their education and from groups that are truly making a difference within our community and beyond.”

Clarke concludes, “I wish the Coquitlam Foundation continued growth and success.”

The foundation is now accepting applications for the part-time position of executive director. Details of the position can be found by clicking here.

Expressions of interest and resumes should be directed to jtoddington@coquitlamfoundation.com.

Meantime, the foundation’s grants committee will soon start evaluating this year’s applications for grants, bursaries and scholarships. The awards will be distributed on the evening of June 17 at the Evergreen Cultural Centre.

Last year, the foundation distributed in excess of $120,000 to eligible individuals and organizations. The foundation now manages $2.8 million in more than two dozen foundation-directed and donor-advised funds.

The foundation always welcomes donations to its funds or for its general use. Please visit our website for details. The foundation is registered with Canada Revenue as a charitable organization, No. 890762347 RR0001.
