2026 Award Recipients

Coquitlam, BC – June 13, 2024

The Coquitlam Foundation proudly hosted its annual Awards Night Celebration on June 3rd at the Evergreen Cultural Centre, bringing together fundholders, volunteers, community leaders, and guests for a memorable evening of celebration. This year, the volunteer Grants Committee selected individuals and organizations to receive $325,110 in grants and scholarships, recognizing their commitment to strengthening our community and supporting student success.

The Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to the Chan and Brown Wealth Management, Evergreen Cultural Centre, Tim Hortons, Thrifty Foods, Tri-Cities Community Television, Sandpiper Signs & Decals Inc., and Quantus Homes for sponsoring the event. And to photographer Al Lau for capturing the moments that made the evening truly special.

“It is a privilege to acknowledge the outstanding efforts of these individuals and organizations,” said Executive Director, Carol Brodie. “Thanks to the continued generosity of our donors and fundholders, we are able to support people and initiatives that create meaningful, lasting impact in our community. This year’s award recipients, both students and local organizations, are already contributing in ways that strengthen our community today and help shape its future.”

With strong stewardship of its endowment and a strategic investment approach, the Coquitlam Foundation now manages a portfolio of more than $9.7M.  Over the past year, the Foundation distributed grants and scholarships that bring its total community giving to $4.4M, reflecting its commitment to supporting local needs, strengthening the community, and empowering legacy builders across Coquitlam.

The Foundation remains committed to nurturing local talent, fostering innovation, and investing in the next generation of leaders. Awards Night highlighted this ongoing dedication to improving quality of life, addressing local needs, and building a stronger, more vibrant community for all.
