COQUITLAM – With just days to go before the Coquitlam Foundation’s “Bellbottoms and Beads” Fall Gala on October 10, organizers are putting the finishing touches on one of the event’s highlights—the Silent Auction.
This year’s exciting auction line-up includes an extravagant shopping spree at Coquitlam Centre which features a two-way chauffeured ride from your home, lunch for two at Montana’s Cookhouse, a $750-gift card for the entire Centre, and a spa package for two at Eccotique Spa & Salon.
Other Silent Auction items include: an impressive variety of one- and two-night stays at top hotels such as the Delta Vancouver Suites, Delta Sun Peaks Resort, Hotel Grand Pacific in Victoria and the Victoria Regent Hotel; wine-and-goodies baskets; flights for two from Harbour Air Seaplanes; a Breville die-cast espresso machine; artwork; and gift certificates galore.
“Participating in the silent auction is a great way to get a jump on your Christmas shopping,” says Colleen Talbot, chair of the Coquitlam Foundation. “And you’ll be contributing to a good cause, too.”
Good tickets are still available for the “Bellbottoms and Beads” Gala, so named because the evening concludes with a concert by Creedence Clearwater Revisited. Attendees are encouraged to join in the fun by dressing up in anything from love beads and head bands to tie-dyed shirts and sandals.
The fun starts at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, October 10 in the upper lobby of the Red Robinson Theatre at the Boulevard Casino, with the silent auction, food and spirits. The party then moves into the theatre at 8 p.m. for a concert by CCR. Tickets are $150 each and can be obtained by calling 604.468.9598 or visiting the Foundation’s website, www.coquitlamfoundation.com.
Donations can be sent to the Coquitlam Foundation, c/o P.O. Box 2, 1207 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam, B.C., Canada, V3B 7Y3, or made through the Foundation’s website, www.coquitlamfoundation.com.
