Wingrove Family Fund

Bursary Fund

The Wingrove Family Fund was established in 2013 in memory of Trevor Wingrove. The Trevor Wingrove Bursary Award was given for post-secondary education or training to a female or male student-athlete who has played lacrosse with the Coquitlam Minor Lacrosse Association for at least two years. Winners must graduate from high school, have a good academic record, and exemplify some of the qualities that made Trevor Wingrove an inspiration on and off the lacrosse box floor. In 2022, the Les Wingrove Bursary Award was first handed out to a female student-athlete. From this time, the Trevor Wingrove Bursary Award would be awarded to a male student-athlete. This ensures equal representation among females and males and recognizes Trevor and Les’ outstanding contributions to lacrosse and the community.
