Looking back, taking stock, and looking forward. Those were the themes of our 2017-2018 Annual General Meeting, held Thursday evening in the Coquitlam Foundation Room of the City Centre Branch of the Coquitlam Public Library. A great year, as our assets now total about $3.2 million and we have hit the $1.5-million mark in awards (grants, scholarships and bursaries) over the 26-year life of the foundation. A big “thank you” to all our donors, fundholders, and volunteers.
Our AGM was attended by chair Roch Ripley, vice chair John Wolff, treasurer Justina Mark, and board members Sid Sharma (our newest member), Carol Cahoon, Carlo Zarrillo, Terry O’Neill, Adel Gamar, Trish Mandewo, and Colleen Talbot, along with Executive Director Dwight Yochim and friends Jim Allard, Gordon Fulton, Sharon and Lindsey LeClair and many others. Thanks for coming! Special “thank yous” were also extended to director Linda Meneghello, who is stepping down as chair of the events committee, and to O’Neill who, after a decade of service, is retiring from the board at the end of October.
And thanks to our event sponsors, RBC Wealth Management/Dominion Securities – Chan and Ross Wealth Management.
