The Zajac Ranch’s mission is to provide memorable, enriching camp experiences in an accessible and innovative facility for children and young adults with medical conditions, who may not be able to attend camp otherwise.
Last year, The Coquitlam Foundation helped Zajac Ranch accomplish this vision with a grant of $2000. This donation funded the summer camp experience of three children from Coquitlam: 11-year-old Tasha, who has Autism spectrum disorder; 9-year old Xavier, who has Severe Hemophilia A; and 11-year old Julie, who was Optical atrophy. These three adolescents were able to explore the outdoors and develop their self-confidence in a safe environment.
