COQUITLAM – Unpack your bellbottoms, dust off your love beads and make plans now to groove with Creedence Clearwater Revisited this coming October as part of the Coquitlam Foundation’s Fall Gala.
The 1960s-themed “Bellbottoms and Beads” event will be held Saturday, October 10 at the Red Robinson Theatre in the Boulevard Casino, Coquitlam.
Proceeds will bolster the work of the Coquitlam Foundation, which aims to encourage and support creative, targeted philanthropy that builds a vibrant, sustainable, and healthy community.
The evening gets rockin’ and rollin’ at 5:30 p.m. in the theatre gallery with fine food, good spirits and a silent auction. Volunteers and members of the board of directors will be kicking it old school with ‘60s-era garb. Other attendees don’t necessarily need to go full “flower power,” but everyone is encouraged to get into the spirit!
The event then moves into the Red Robinson Theatre at 8 p.m. for a rockin’ concert featuring Creedence Clearwater Revisited. The band features the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rhythm section (drums and bass) from the original Creedence Clearwater Revival band of the late 1960s. Fall Gala ticket holders get preferred seating in the theatre.
Tickets are $150 each and can be ordered by contacting Executive Director Laurel Lawson at firstname.lastname@example.org or by visiting the Events section of the Foundation’s website, www.coquitlamfoundation.com.
Donations can be sent to the Coquitlam Foundation, c/o P.O. Box 2, 1207 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam, B.C., Canada, V3B 7Y3, or made through the Foundation’s website. The Coquitlam Foundation is registered with Canada Revenue as a charitable organization, Number 890762347 RR0001. Thanks for your support!
