COQUITLAM, B.C. – December 1, 2025: The Coquitlam Foundation is introducing changes to its annual Grants program to offer applicants more time to prepare strong proposals and to provide a smoother overall process.
Beginning in fall 2026, the Foundation will move its grants cycle from spring to fall, with a transitional year to help organizations plan ahead. This change reflects the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to make the application process easier to navigate and better timed for the community groups it serves. A fall cycle also fits more naturally with the Foundation’s planning and fiscal timelines, creating a more predictable experience for applicants.
“These updates are an important step in improving how we support local organizations,” said Craig Woods, Chair of the Foundation’s Grants Committee. “Many local groups are stretched thin, and we know that timing matters. Shifting the cycle helps ease pressure during the busiest parts of the year, giving applicants a better path through the process.”
How to apply for Coquitlam Foundation Community Grants
Community grants support non-profit organizations that deliver programs and services that improve life for Coquitlam residents. These grants help to address local causes and concerns and can support work in areas such as arts and culture, environment and heritage, health and community wellness, diversity, and seniors.
The current grants cycle opened December 1, 2025, with two options available during the transition year:
- Organizations intending to apply for the December 2025 to March 2026 intake period should proceed with the current application form available online. Apply here: Coquitlam Foundation Grant Application 2025
- Those wishing to apply for the fall 2026 cycle will find updated details on the Foundation’s website beginning in August 2026.
