Each year, through the generosity of our donors, the Coquitlam Foundation awards scholarships and bursaries that empower learners to pursue their educational goals and build a brighter future for themselves and our community.
Although primarily distributed to graduating high school students who are in need of financial support, adult learners are also welcome to apply to continue their post-secondary education.
- General eligbility requirements require applicants to:
- Demonstrate financial need
- Demonstrate a history of school and community service and leadership OR school and community involvement
- Demonstrate academic success sufficient to enter into post-secondary studies
- Begin designated studies within three years of formal notification of awarded bursary/scholarship
- Submit a written report upon completion of the applicable term of studies
Applicants should also review the specific eligibility criteria of each fund before applying.
Scholarships and bursaries must be claimed within three years.
Scholarship and bursary applications are reviewed by the Coquitlam Foundation Grants Committee, which is comprised of current Directors and selected community member volunteers.
Awardees are require to submit a Student Final Report upon completion of their term/program.
