COQUITLAM, B.C. – September 15, 2026: The Coquitlam Foundation has opened applications for its 2026 Community Grants and is inviting local non-profits and community organizations to apply for funding to support projects and programs that benefit Coquitlam residents. Applications will be accepted until October 31, 2026.
“We see great work happening every day through local non-profits and community organizations,” said Craig Woods, Chair of the Coquitlam Foundation’s Grants Committee. “These grants give us an opportunity to support that work and help bring projects to life that respond to local needs, create opportunities and strengthen connections across our community.”
Supporting Local Impact
Community Grants typically provide up to $3,500 for projects and programs in areas including arts and culture, diversity and inclusion, education and literacy, environment, health and community wellness, heritage, and support for seniors in need.
“Our donors make it possible for the Foundation to invest in organizations doing important work throughout Coquitlam,” said Matthew Sebastiani, Board Chair. “It’s a direct connection between local generosity and the projects and programs that make a difference in people’s lives.”
This year, Community Grants move to an annual fall application cycle, following the transition announced last December. The fall cycle is separate from the Foundation’s Scholarships and Bursaries program in the spring. There will be no separate Community Grants application period in spring 2027.
Applications close Oct 31/26. Applicants must be registered charities or partner with a registered charity that can accept funds on their behalf. Organizations interested in applying can review full eligibility criteria, grant guidelines and application details at coquitlamfoundation.com/grants.
