The Coquitlam Foundation, like our community, has many circles of friends.
Please watch for more news on the creation of a fund program, "Circle of Friends," that will allow donors to join other like-minded donors on an issue of concern and to pool their donations so that, over time, a new fund can be created to generate grant and/or bursary funds for specific purposes.
In discussion for now is the idea of bringing together donors interested in creating a bursary fund specifically designed to encourage and support local youth who have demonstrated a noteworthy record of contributing to their community. A bursary of $500 per year could be generated for the "Youth in Community Service" program with just 10 local philanthropists committing a minimum donation of $200/annum for two consecutive years. A portion of the funds donated would fund the bursary, while the remainder would be committed to an endowment to fund bursaries for years to come.
A YOUTH FUND IS NEEDED. If you are interested in this, or a similiar idea, and you would like to talk further, please contact info@coquitlamfoundation.com.
